«Space Summer: Discover Earth Together»: Let’s sum up!

At the beginning of June the program «Summer Reading» started in the Department of Literature in foreign languages (DLFL) of Kherson Oblast’ Children Library. 27 persons registered, who wished to be members of “the discovering mission”, the aim of which was to discover the planet Earth. But not all of them could complete the discovering mission. Only “the elite” went the whole way: from the getting of “the Identity Card of Explorer” to the rank “The Knower of Space”.
During the summer holidays the participants chose books in English from the recommendation list, read them and made discovery-comments (in Ukraine or English) or discovery-map (with pictures). For such kind of activities they earned SPACE Library Intellectual Currency («SLICs»), changed these SLICs for english colorful books from «Orbital Bookstore».
The most active participants of this Space Summer are known already. There are Sereda Victoriya, Shulyar Oxana, Melnik Rostislav, Manzhelei Tatyana, Shabalin Vladislav and Antoshchenko Elizabeth. Exactly these persons did the respected mission - to make “the Message to the Extraterrestrial Civilizations ”, and did it perfectly in the final “Space party”.
